Modern Slavery & Anti-Money Laundering Policy

Effective Date: 12 June 2026
Review Date: 12 June 2027

Introduction

A1 Home Inspectors is a partnership providing Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) services across the Bristol and wider Somerset area. We are committed to conducting our business honestly, ethically, and responsibly. We do not tolerate modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, or any form of financial crime, including money laundering or fraud. This policy outlines our commitment to maintaining ethical business standards.

Modern Slavery

Although the nature of our business means we consider the risk of modern slavery to be low, we remain committed to preventing exploitation in any form.

We will:

  • Treat all staff, contractors, domestic energy assessors, and suppliers fairly and respectfully.

  • Work only with reputable suppliers and service providers where reasonably possible.

  • Not knowingly engage with any business or individual involved in forced labour, exploitation, or unlawful employment practices.

  • Raise and address concerns where unethical behaviour is suspected.

We expect anyone working with or on behalf of our partnership to maintain appropriate ethical standards.

Anti-Money Laundering & Financial Crime

As a provider of EPC services, we are not generally a regulated business for anti-money laundering purposes. However, we are committed to conducting business transparently and responsibly.

We will:

  • Maintain accurate business and payment records.

  • Accept payments through recognised and traceable payment methods wherever possible.

  • Be alert to suspicious or unusual activity.

  • Refuse work or transactions that appear unlawful, fraudulent, or unethical.

  • Cooperate with relevant authorities where required by law.

Responsibility & Review

The partners (Gary Langale and Richard Buckner) are jointly responsible for ensuring this policy is followed and reviewed periodically to ensure it remains appropriate for the business.
